Laura Ferreira is a committed advocate for the people of Ladysmith-Oceanside, determined to provide voters with a meaningful alternative by representing the BC Green Party. As a proud Vancouver Island resident, Laura believes in the critical balance between environmental stewardship and economic resilience, and she works towards building a future that is more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive.

Growing up in the Alberta Rockies, Laura developed a deep appreciation for nature, which later guided her academic pursuits at the University of Victoria, where she studied political science and environmental studies. Her background as the daughter of a nurse and an entrepreneur has given her a strong belief in the value of public services and the importance of community investment.

Laura has diverse professional experience, including time spent in Ottawa working on Parliament Hill and for the Green Party of Canada during their most successful federal election. She has also gained valuable insights from her work in the private sector, supporting clean-tech innovation. Since 2021, Laura has been a key member of the BC Green Caucus, helping to advance progressive policies.

Laura is committed to serving the Ladysmith-Oceanside community, advocating for sustainable growth, accessible public services, and policies that benefit everyone.
