Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
Nicola's priority is uplifting British Columbians who are struggling. Whether the struggle is with housing affordability, climate change, or government accountability, she believes everyone should feel heard and supported by their MLA.

Nicola is running in the 2024 BC election to further her mission of creating a more equitable society. She believes the BC Green Party, with its evidence-based policies and commitment to independent thinking, is the best platform for achieving meaningful change in British Columbia.

Nicola also believes in being the change she wants to see in the world. This means acting in good faith, by being open, honest, and transparent. It means listening to the needs of Coquitlam-Maillardville residents and acting in their best interests. It means doing everything in her power to hold government accountable and to make this world a better place.

Unlike candidates from other parties, Nicola is not whipped. When she makes you a promise, she intends to keep that promise. While MLAs from other parties can be pressured into abandoning campaign promises by a small group of party insiders, Nicola cannot be manipulated in this way. Vote for Nicola, because you won't find a more principled representative for Coquitlam-Maillardville.
