An outspoken advocate for mental health, Richard is open and honest about his own challenges. Thanks to an amazing support network of family, friends and co-workers, Richard has triumphed over his struggles. He knows everyone deserves good support and that mental illness is not a personal failure. That’s why he’s standing up to make sure everyone can access, and afford, mental health services, and prescription medication, when they need them.
Coming out of the pandemic, Richard will make sure Ottawa is working for you – not the ultra-rich. He’ll stand up for affordable housing and good local health services. He knows Ottawa must take real action to address the climate crisis with bold emissions targets and support for good, sustainable jobs in our communities. Liberal and Conservative governments have failed to meet their own targets, we need real action now.
Richard loves to listen and hear stories from others. Friends, podcasts, music, CBC Radio One, have made him the compassionate person he is today. Richard has always tried to achieve more with less and he’s committed to working hard to get everyone the help they need.
Richard is ready to help, ready to lead, and ready to be there for you.
