My name is Roxanne Charles; I am a mother, grandmother, community leader, artist, educator, consultant and advocate for Indigenous Rights. I have lived in Surrey for 40 years and reside in Semiahmoo.
Many of those years were spent investing in my own education here in Surrey. I received two undergraduate degrees from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and hold a Masters in Fine Arts from Simon Fraser University. I am confident in the experience and unique perspective that I carry forward and believe it could be of great benefit to the community as a whole. I truly believe education is crucial to the future we are creating.
As a former Councillor of Semiahmoo First Nation I am honoured to be running with Team Surrey Schools in this election. If elected we look forward to this opportunity to listen and uplift the needs of the community by supporting students, parents, faculty and staff.
