We are excited to announce that Ty Boulay is our candidate for Belle-Baie-Belledune in the 2024 Election.

Ty Boulay, the NB NDP candidate for Belle-Baie-Belledune, is a relentless advocate for the people of his community. Raised in Montreal, Ty found his true home on the north shore of New Brunswick, where he now fights for the rights and prosperity of his neighbors.

Though he became an official resident just a few years ago, his connection to the area runs deep. His father, Jean Boulay, hailed from Petit-Rocher, and Ty's childhood summers were spent on the Petit-Rocher waterfront, fondly known as “Ma Mère’s beach” after his great-grandmother.

Reconnecting with his Acadian roots has ignited Ty’s passion for justice and equality. He has seen the warmth and resilience of the north shore community, a spirit reminiscent of his grandparents, but he has also witnessed the struggles they endure. The neglect from the southern parts of the province has fueled his determination to fight for the respect and consideration his community deserves.

Ty is unwavering in his commitment to preserving the traditional way of life while embracing progress for the new generation. As a staunch advocate for bilingualism, he is dedicated to ensuring that Acadian voices are heard and represented in New Brunswick. The loss of his family's maternal language, a casualty of the FLQ’s actions in Quebec, drives his mission to unite and empower the northern communities.

Through a revitalized NB NDP, Ty aims to champion the interests of Belle-Baie-Belledune, standing firm against the influence of large corporations. His priorities include enhancing access to emergency and primary care services, and he is determined to restore the region's economic dominance.

By spearheading initiatives to transform Belledune’s port and power into a renewable technology powerhouse, Ty envisions a future where the north shore leads the province in clean industry and technological innovation.
