Active Transportation

A growing area of our transportation infrastructure is biking. I support creating a better network of bike lanes across the district.

Electric Bikes & Scooters

I would like to see more development proposals that include E-bike sharing programs in the district.

Energy-Efficient Buildings & Retrofits

I support the district's plan to make all new large developments energy efficient and would like to see more done to encourage retrofitting.

Green Space

I am committed to protecting and preserving natural forests and green spaces, through expanding and improving the parks system.
I support expanding the parks system, and I am against any development that takes away green space anywhere in North Vancouver.

Private Vehicles

By utilizing the town centre's recognized in the OCP, we can create walking & biking friendly areas for local residents.

Zoning

We should be re-visiting the OCP in terms of expanding the parks system, as it outlines in various areas of North Vancouver.

Housing & Homelessness

Affordability

We can work with developers to gain community benefits such as rent to own programs, affordable rental units, and more housing diversity.

Indigenous-Led Housing

The district has an important role to play in reconciliation. Working with and supporting First Nations on land rights should be a priority.

Property Taxes

I would always put the taxpayer's interests first and vote to keep taxes low. My goal would be less than 2% per year rise.

Rent

We should be approving more designated rental, and affordable rental units. Rent to own programs should be encouraged for developers.

Zoning

We should be re-visiting the OCP in terms of expanding the parks system, as it outlines in various areas of North Vancouver.

Human Rights

Physical Accessibility

We should be making accessibility a priority in parks planning, and when we examine new development proposals.

Recent Immigrants

I think with well thought out, smart planning decisions, we can be a place welcoming to new immigrants.

Public Safety & Policing

Police Funding

I support the police, and believe in programs that connect police with youth to start relationships built on trust.

Police Wrongdoing & Accountability

Police should be held to the highest standards, and the public should always feel that the police are working for them.

Public Spaces & Services

Green Space

The district has an important role to play in reconciliation. Working with and supporting First Nations on land rights should be a priority.

Working with and supporting the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and Squamish Nation on land rights should be an utmost priority.

The UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

I fully support the Union of BC Municipalities declaration that, "Relationships are central to reconciliation"

For over 20 years my career has been dedicated to working with families, children, and youth in North Vancouver. I work as the Director of School Age Care Programs for a large North Vancouver childcare provider. I also serve as Vice President of the non-profit Parkgate Society.

I think with strong, unbiased leadership, there can be moderate development without sacrificing our greatest asset – the environment that makes North Vancouver such a unique place to live.
