John O'Flynn
Biography
O'Flynn grew up in Vancouver as a son of Irish immigrants and has been a North Shore resident since 2002. Living at Spuraway Gardens in the Cedardale community since 2021, John recently retired as a teacher.
O'Flynn's experiences in meetings, reviewing budgets, setting policies and staying connected with people has always been enjoyable for him.
John is a Board Director with BC Soccer since 2020, a West Van FC Maplewood soccer player and a West Van Pickleball Advisory Roundtable member. He serves on the West Van Awards Committee and is a 'Director-at-Large and Partnerships' with the West Van Historical Society.
Author of 'The History of the Gaelic Athletic Association in Canada' and a former Commissioner for the North Vancouver Museum & Archives, O'Flynn is excited to work with the (2026 - 2030) Mayor and Council to ensure accountability for the decisions to be made and that Community Voices remain heard.
