A committed environmental advocate, Marcelo brings expertise in forestry, policy research, and sustainability to push for effective climate action and a balanced future for all Ontarians.

Born in Argentina, Marcelo immigrated to Canada in 1989, securing an internship and later a job with the Ministry of Natural Resources. Inspired by environmental protests in Temagami and Clayoquot Sound, he pursued a Master’s in Environmental Studies at York University, focusing on the social and political aspects of forestry.

As a consultant, Marcelo specializes in environmental compliance, forest biomass, bio-energy, and carbon sequestration. His work in policy research and public consultation has deepened his commitment to climate action and sustainable development. Frustrated with the lack of leadership on climate change, he joined the Green Party to advocate for systemic, cross-sectoral policies that balance economic activity, environmental protection, and social equity.

Marcelo has been an active community volunteer, coaching soccer, supporting school programs, and guest lecturing at the University of Toronto and Lakehead University. He is married to Adriana, a pianist and Montessori teacher, and they have two children, Nicolas and Cecilia.

Marcelo is ready to bring his expertise and passion to the Green Party, pushing for meaningful climate action and a sustainable future for all Ontarians.
