Biography

Hey there! I'm Paul Simoes. I run a Digital Media company, am a father of five, and a conservative voice in the community. I'm also a Krav Maga instructor and have run for office before.

I’m a first-generation Canadian, born to hardworking immigrant parents who taught me the value of perseverance and integrity.

My father was a steel welder, and my mother worked in a chip factory—blue-collar workers who built a life in this country through sacrifice and determination.

Their example shaped who I am today, someone who believes in hard work, personal responsibility, and standing up for what’s right.

Born in Brantford and raised in Cambridge, I grew up with a strong sense of community and a desire to protect those around me.

That mindset led me to martial arts at the age of 10. Eventually earning black belts in Krav Maga, Karate, and Aikido, along with ranks in Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

In 1998, I opened my own martial arts studio, teaching others how to defend themselves and build confidence. But like many small business owners, I was forced to close my doors due to government-imposed lockdowns—a decision that devastated local entrepreneurs while politicians continued collecting paycheques.

Refusing to be sidelined, I pivoted to digital marketing, launching Simoes Media to help businesses grow through web design, email marketing, and paid ads.

But no matter how much success I found, one thing kept bothering me- the direction Ontario was heading.

Reckless spending, high taxes, and a government that puts politics over people.

That’s why I joined the New Blue Party of Ontario—a movement committed to conservative values, accountability, and putting Ontarians first.

This is my third election, and I’m running because I refuse to sit back and watch our province fall apart.

I have five children, ages 4 to 17, and like every parent, I worry about their future.

If we don’t fight back now, Ontario won’t be a place they can afford to live, work, or raise their own families.

Kitchener-Centre deserves a representative who will fight for them—not for career politicians or special interests.

I’m not here to make empty promises. I’m here to bring real change to Queen’s Park before we lose our province forever.

Join me in taking back Ontario—before it’s too late.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
As a lifelong resident of the region, I've witnessed firsthand the challenges our community faces. My decision to run for office stems from a deep commitment to address these issues head-on.

Here's why I'm stepping into the political arena:

  1. Advocating for Inclusivity and Support for Individuals with Disabilities: Raising a son with mental and physical challenges has opened my eyes to the systemic gaps in support for individuals with disabilities. I aim to champion policies that provide comprehensive resources and opportunities for these individuals and their families.
  2. Empowering Families and Upholding Conservative Values: As a father of five, I understand the importance of family-centric policies. I am dedicated to promoting initiatives that strengthen family units, uphold conservative principles, and ensure a prosperous future for our children.
  3. Enhancing Community Safety and Personal Empowerment: Through my work as a Krav Maga instructor, I've seen the transformative power of self-defense training. I plan to advocate for community programs that enhance personal safety and empower individuals to protect themselves.
  4. Supporting Small Businesses and Entrepreneurship: Managing multiple online platforms has given me insight into the challenges entrepreneurs face. I am committed to creating an environment where small businesses can thrive, free from excessive regulation and taxation.
  5. Ensuring Transparent and Accountable Governance: Aligning with the New Blue Party, I am determined to bring transparency and accountability back to our political system, ensuring that the voices of our community are heard and respected.

In essence, my candidacy is driven by a desire to serve my community, uphold our shared values, and work tirelessly for a better tomorrow.
