Implement mandatory consultation with students, parents, teachers, and staff before implementing new AI tools.
Establish clear guidance for teachers on acceptable utilization of AI for assessments, feedback, and lesson planning (no direct instructional delivery).
Neurodivergent Students & Support
Advocate for better provincial funding for more school counsellors and early childhood supports such as faster access to neurodivergence assessments.
Eliminate the gap between individual education plans (IEPs) and real classroom support for students with neurodiverse needs.
Implement practical supports, such as executive function coaching, chunking assignments, sensory regulation, flexible learning demonstrations, and quiet testing environments.
Support parents in accessing the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and related funding avenues.
Police in Schools
