Sharolyn is a long-time Willowdale resident and community leader, is committed to improving local business, reducing property taxes, enhancing public services, and addressing climate resilience, affordability, and growth.

Sharolyn Vettese has been a long-time resident of Willowdale, where she raised her children and dedicated 14 years as a volunteer community leader. She worked alongside city planners and developers to help create a livable city centre along Yonge Street, designed with walkability, access to transportation, green spaces, and controlled development. Unfortunately, in recent years, Willowdale has been neglected, with rising property taxes and little to show for it in terms of real benefits for residents.

As a small business owner, Sharolyn understands firsthand the challenges local businesses face, particularly those that have been underserved and overlooked. She believes Willowdale deserves better and it’s time for a change. If elected as your MPP, Sharolyn will advocate for more provincial funding to reduce property taxes, combat homelessness, improve public transit, and alleviate the pressures on schools and healthcare providers. She will also work closely with Willowdale’s federal MP and municipal councillor to ensure the community receives the attention it deserves, with a focus on building climate resilience against flooding, heatwaves, and other extreme weather events.

Sharolyn is committed to responsible government spending, ensuring greater accountability and transparency, and making sure taxpayers’ dollars are used effectively. She will push for the removal of interprovincial tariffs to support local economic growth and work to improve communication and responsiveness to the people of Willowdale.

Sharolyn Vettese is ready to bring real change to Willowdale, focusing on sustainability, affordable living, and a thriving local economy. It’s time for a leader who puts Willowdale first.
