Pascale Marchand is an experienced community leader, policymaker, and equity promoter. Since 2022, she served as the Constituency Assistant for Hamilton’s Ward 4. Pascale holds a Bachelor of Public Health (Honours) and a Bachelor of Journalism, and she is nominated for the 2025 YWCA Women of Distinction award. Most of all: She is a proud East Hamiltonian.
Pascale successfully advocates to advance issues affecting the local francophone, Indigenous, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, as well as active transportation, environmental justice, and accessibility for all. In 2020, she mobilized the community to save bike share. In 2024, she expedited affordable housing projects, because she knows housing and cost-of-living are crucial for residents’ well-being. She enhanced services for newcomers and removed bureaucratic barriers that had delayed a francophone high school for 20 years. Her words are backed by actions and results.
Recently, Pascale rallied residents-from the Industrial sector to Van Wagner’s beach-to hold the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks and local industries accountable for the black soot affecting their homes and playgrounds.
