A vision for Saint John that DELIVERS
“This city tells the story of my family. It’s where my great grandparents immigrated, where my grandparents raised their eleven kids, where my dad and his brothers started their business, where my mom taught school, and where I was born in the North End. Over the past 5 years, I’ve been proud to represent this community on Council. The work we’ve been able to accomplish has helped shape the direction of our city. What’s missing is a provincial partnership that recognizes that investments in infrastructure support our growth, like housing and schools. It means a partnership that will build predictable leadership you can trust.”
David Hickey was first elected to Saint John Common Council in May of 2019. David grew up in Saint John and graduated from Saint John High. He went on to study Business and Economics at the University of New Brunswick. David’s career started at the House of Commons, and has included small business, nonprofit, communications, and public relations experience. Elected at 24, David is the youngest member of Council.
As Chair of the Public Safety Committee and the Standing Committee on Homelessness, David is well positioned to take on the urgent housing crisis in Saint John Harbour and across the province.
