Mary-Em Waddington is a 40 year resident of Surrey in the Guildford and Clayton communities. She has raised two children while working and volunteering for education and environment focused organizations.
Mary-Em’s interest in running for Surrey Council comes from a firm belief that urgent attention is needed to address climate change at the municipal level and is committed to making decisions based on sustainability, accessibility, equity, and transparency as her core values.
Mary-Em has twenty five years experience working in the not for profit sector, and is the Executive Director of BC Technology for Learning Society and has held additional leadership positions on various boards including the Surrey Hospice Society, the Recycling Council of BC, and Canadian Parents for French, Surrey Chapter. Mary-Em is a skilled communicator and avid relationship builder.
