Born and raised in Kings–Hants, Kody grew up in a working-class household. He understands the priorities of the families who live here, and knows what it takes to create new jobs and strengthen our economy. The first member of his family to attend university, Kody completed degrees in commerce, law and public administration, which sparked his interest in serving his community. Mark Parent is the Conservative Candidate for the riding of Kings-Hants. Mark grew up in Bolivia, moving back to Canada with his adoptive parents when he was 17. Mark has served in many roles, both within government and outside. Parent first ran in Kings North as a Progressive Conservative MLA in 1999. He was re-elected in the 2003 and 2006.
