Paul Lawton is a homeschooling father to eight children, who along with his wife has lived in Peterborough since graduating from Trent University in 2008. As a working professional in the communications sector, Paul is passionate about the PPC's plan to greatly reduce wealth redistribution in the form of corporate and personal taxes and subsidies, allowing the economy to grow and Canadians to keep more of what they earn. Furthermore, Paul is eager to fight on behalf of the residents of Peterborough-Kawartha and all Canadians for freedom of religion, expression, and conscience to preserve Canada's heritage of liberty and prosperity for future generations.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
This election is about liberty, will we cede ever more power to the government, or will we stand up for our rights as Canadians?

I am running for the PPC to represent Peterborough-Kawartha because I know that many of you:

Have been standing up for freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, and freedom of religion.

Have advocated for a small, efficient federal government that lets you make your own decisions and lets you keep the money you earn.

See the importance of a balanced budget so that the inheritance we leave our children is one of freedom and prosperity rather than slavery to debt.

Want their businesses, schools, and churches open and to stay open.

Understand that skyrocketing national debt and inflation is the path to ruin.

Someone has to be willing to look past next week, next month, and next year and ask “What kind of future are we leaving for our children and grandchildren?”

Someone has to be the advocate for these things as a member of parliament.

Let me be that someone, send me to Ottawa as your representative.
