Chandra is a public policy researcher, activist, and mom.

Chandra is a proven advocate for workers and people who need a helping hand. As a researcher with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Chandra fights to ensure that all Ontarians have access to high-quality, vital public services like health care, emergency services, and post-secondary education.

Prior to CUPE, Chandra served as an advisor to parliamentarians, delivering change on important issues like child care, affordable housing, and Employment Insurance. Chandra has also been active for over a decade as an anti-poverty activist, fighting for comprehensive solutions to ensure that everyone in our communities can live in dignity.

As a parent, Chandra has seen first-hand the effects of the Ford government's cuts to education and healthcare on our local schools and the Queensway-Carleton Hospital. Chandra is a tireless advocate for these and other public services that improve the lives of everyone in her community.

Chandra lives with her husband and three school-aged children in the Qualicum neighbourhood of Ottawa West-Nepean.
