Kyle Jones is an Education Assistant, union leader, and advocate dedicated to supporting students and strengthening education. He is running for Surrey School Board Trustee to ensure decisions are guided by accountability, collaboration, and the best interests of Surrey students.
Kyle Jones is a lifelong Surrey resident, Education Assistant, and dedicated advocate for students, families, and education workers. He currently works as an Education Assistant in School District 43 and previously served in the Surrey School District as an Integration Education Support Worker (IESW), supporting students with diverse learning and support needs. Beyond the classroom, Kyle is an active union leader, serving as a Shop Steward with CUPE Local 561, an Executive at Large with CUPE Metro, and a member of the Young Worker Committees for both CUPE BC and the BC Federation of Labour. He is proud to have earned the endorsements of CUPE 728, representing the support staff of the Surrey School District, and the New Westminster & District Labour Council. Kyle is running for Surrey School Board Trustee because he believes every child deserves access to quality public education, strong student supports, and opportunities to thrive. He is committed to standing up for students, families, and frontline education workers while advocating for responsible leadership, transparent decision-making, and the investments Surrey's growing school district needs.
