I have been on the Board of Education for Surrey for the past 24 years.

Currently, I am Chair of the Budget Committee, responsible for a budget of over one billion dollars.

I understand the fundamental importance of a sound publicly funded education system and as a Trustee, I will ensure the Surrey School District maintains its high standard of excellence.

I will also commit to continue to fight for Surrey’s fair share of all education funding and to make sure the funding goes where it is most needed – which is in the classroom.

Along with my team of Surrey First Education trustees, we will not stop the fight for the classroom space and new schools we need. We will continue our work in building relationships with teachers and support staff.
