Biography

submitted by the candidate or their team
I am proud to have called Burnaby home for the past 25 years with my wife and two children, and I aspire to represent the taxpayers of this great city in an honest and accountable manner.

Over the past five years, I have founded the Clean Up Burnaby Campaign, which has increased awareness of community cleanliness issues and removed over 3,500 pounds of garbage from the streets, parks and streams of this municipality. I successfully lobbied City Council to create a new bylaw regarding LED light pollution and was instrumental in getting the Mayor and Council to cancel their poorly conceived GRO facility proposal in Fraser Foreshore Park.

I am the only candidate in this election who has over a decade of customer service experience in a municipal government environment and know multiple ways that the City of Burnaby can much better serve its residents at very little added cost.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
The quality of life in Burnaby has gotten worse as the years go by. City Council keeps approving developments that do not address Burnaby's affordable housing issue. The BCA has represented property developers for decades...it's time for someone to represent Burnaby's residents.
