Following a decades-long career in community development, advocacy, and communications, supporting small businesses, arts organizations, nonprofits, and social development, Pete Fry was elected to Vancouver City Council in 2018.

As a City Councillor, Pete has chaired the Auditor General Committee and served on the boards of Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Public Library, and the National Zero Waste Council. He also spent eight years on the board of the Union of BC Municipalities, chairing its Resolutions Committee and working with local governments across British Columbia to advance policy across political and geographic lines.

Since 2022, Pete has been a consistent voice of opposition to Ken Sim and ABC. As a watchdog on Council, he has exposed inappropriate spending in the Mayor's Office (including the infamous private gym conversion), prevented the elimination of the Integrity Commissioner, challenged unlawful meeting practices, and called out repeated abuses of power.

Pete lives in Strathcona with his wife, a dog, and two cats.
