To bring a practical, transparent, informed long term perspective, community-minded voice to Council. Focus on long term spending and infrastructure while reviewing existing areas for improvements and efficiencies. I stand for ethical conduct and taxpayer accountability.
Definitely not running because I’m looking for a political career. I’m running because I’ve spent years getting involved in my community, particularly in Steelhead where I served on the Steelhead community association board initially as a director for several years and the past two years as co-chair and I’ve seen first hand how much residents can accomplish when they work together especially when people bring different skillsets to the table.
I also know what it’s like to be on the other side of the table — trying to understand a municipal decision, asking questions, raising concerns, feeling like you’re not actually being heard. Seeing rural mission eroded by poorly planned development with very little oversight. Seeing the soil dumping first hand including on taxpayer owned land and nothing being done to stop it. Lied to by city staff and talked down to when I’ve presented facts and data.
I also have worked in the public sector for many years and believe in public service and what I’ve witnessed and experienced as a resident in mission doesn’t sit right with me.
I'm a regular guy, a dad, farmer, beekeeper, car enthusiast, computer guy, municipal employee (13 years experience), and business owner.
