He is focused on protecting classroom funding, responsible budgeting, youth well-being and creating strong opportunities for students both inside and outside the classroom.

Sagar grew up in North Delta and attended North Delta Secondary. He credits the community and its schools with helping shape who he is today, and he is running for trustee as a way to give back and help ensure the next generation of Delta students has the same — or better — opportunities.

Professionally, Sagar brings a background in banking, business development and executive leadership. He is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Nuclea Energy Inc., where his work has strengthened his experience in budgeting, financial responsibility, strategic planning and organizational leadership.

Sagar believes those skills are directly relevant to school board governance. His primary priority is protecting classroom funding and ensuring public education dollars are managed responsibly and transparently. He wants to help make sure resources remain focused on students, classrooms and the services that support learning.

His commitment to young people also extends beyond the workplace. Sagar regularly coaches youth sports in Delta and has seen firsthand the role recreation, mentorship and community support can play in a young person’s development. That experience has made youth well-being, recreation and community services another important priority for him.

As a father of three, Sagar is deeply invested in the future of Delta schools. He wants students to have well-funded classrooms, safe and supportive learning environments and access to opportunities that help them grow both academically and personally.
