Biography

submitted to Port Moody's elections office by the candidate

My family and I have lived in Port Moody for over 33 years. I am running for re-election as we need leadership that will work collaboratively, respectfully, and inclusively in making decisions that will help make the lives of the residents of Port Moody better. I bring extensive experience in conflict resolution, mediation and negotiations.

My priorities if re-elected are; sustainable development in our transit orientated development areas (this does not include a wall of towers down St. John’s St.), traffic congestion, increasing green space, expanding Rock Point Park, economic development, and updating our Official Community Plan.

There are major issues to be tackled by City Hall in the next few years and I believe my experience will move Port Moody in the right direction. I served four years on Port Moody City Council (2014-2018). Served as Chair – Arts and Culture Committee, Chair – Community Planning Advisory Committee, Chair – Heritage Commission, Chair – Fire Department Advisory Committee, Vice Chair – Environmental Protection Committee, Vice Chair - Economic Development Committee, Vice Chair – Climate Action Committee, Vice Chair – Tourism Committee.

If re-elected I will work to bring your voice to city council.
