Our educational system is being eroded by an overreaching bureaucracy and special interests. We need to take back our schools and return the responsibility of our children's education to the parents. Growing up in South Langley I was taught to appreciate my unique family life, the love of music, reading books, nature and outdoor activities. After attending university for a BSc in Nursing and Psychology, I worked in a hospital, managed a specialized medical office and was an actress in the film and television industry. Widowed, I raised my daughter Emma and took an active role in her education. Now married, my daughter has 2 lovely children who are on the autism spectrum which is one of my motivations for becoming a school trustee. I am an independent candidate endorsed by ParentsVoice BC which believes that parents are the true political party when it comes to their children’s education.
