Steve led the city as interim mayor during a challenging period in 2019, demonstrating open, positive, collaborative, and respectful leadership. Steve’s boots-on-the-ground style is evident in his visual presence in the city. He is not a bureaucrat and believes in getting things done rather than tying them up in red tape for years. From saving Kyle Centre which will soon undergo a complete exterior restoration to tackling the construction noise bylaw giving residents more peace and quiet, Steve works hard (highest attendance rate on Council) to get things done for the betterment of the community.
Steve Supports:
- Growing in line with what our roadways can handle
- Following the approved community plan, not overbuilding
- A climate-smart downtown of lower, human-scaled buildings, not a wall of concrete towers
- More affordable rentals, family-friendly and accessible senior-friendly housing
- Expanding Rocky Point Park and green space for better mental health
- Rebuilding the jobs district in Moody Centre to restore the city’s business tax base
- That developers pay for related costs of growth, not taxpayers
Steve’s campaign is NOT funded by developers.
On October 15th, Vote: MILANI FOR MAYOR — Protect the Port Moody we love.
