I’ve lived in our beautiful city for 30 years and served as a Councillor since 1999. I was involved in my children’s sport groups, parent advisory councils and volunteered for many community organizations. It was getting to know and love our community and its residents that led me to run for City Council, and it has kept me running as I am passionate about ensuring Port Moody is the best place to live, work and play.
Over the years I have been able to provide leadership on affordable housing, tourism, environmental sustainability, and economic development. I always look at issues through the lens of optimism and believe that we can continue to grow in a sustainable manner that brings the best of benefits to our community.
I have the vision that we can continue to grow moderately as we have over the past years, with new housing, new business, new amenities and new and enhanced park spaces for residents that live here and those that haven’t yet arrived.
My professional background includes a diversity of roles crossing federal government, private sector and non-profit organizations. I currently work in a senior leadership role at the Homebuilders Association Vancouver.
Recently down-sized from the family home, I currently live in Newport Village where my golden lab Lola and I can be seen out walking during the day. Say hi to us on the sidewalk or reach out to chat about issues or to arrange having a coffee together.
