Elliott Slinn (he/him/his) has experience in New West schools both as a student and program facilitator. He is passionate about engaging youth through art, workshops, and is ready to bring his experience to the School Board as a Trustee with Community First New West.

As New Westminster’s current Poet Laureate, he knows first-hand the positive impact Art can have in the lives of students. His dedication to safe and inclusive schools includes leading sexual consent workshops during his time working at Douglas College. Elliott is committed to being a champion for students, teachers and families by strategizing new ways to implement curriculum that enriches the lives of those in the district.

By creating more afterschool programs, art spaces and opportunities for creative expression, he believes this will create a better future for our city and community.

Elliott grew up in New Westminster and is proud to call it home.
