Rachel currently serves on the Board of Governors at SFU and the Richmond Public Library Board. Rachel holds a Degree in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University and she has worked in the fields of health regulation and post-secondary administration.
Rachel believes strongly in action. A provincial grant of $175,000 was secured for BC students during her last term on a health regulatory board. Additionally, during Rachel’s current term, SFU committed to be the first public university in Canada to provide a living wage to all its employees.
Rachel is a long-time local resident of Richmond and a proud mom of two young children. Her priority is ensuring the recovery of the school district from the Covid pandemic and further, promoting everyone's well-being. Using her expertise, Rachel will advocate for funding for Richmond's education and health needs. Rachel will promote a supportive learning environment where everyone can thrive and succeed.
