Biography

submitted to Burnaby's elections office by the candidate

My name is Ken Arnold, and I’m running for City Council as an Independent. I’ve lived in Burnaby all my life. I graduated from Burnaby North (and Confederation Park before that!), then rode my bike across Canada. For the last 27 years, I’ve co-owned and operated a thriving HVAC business. Meanwhile, I’ve been a committed volunteer. At PADS (Pacific Assistance Dogs), my wife Carole and I pitch in with everything from campus maintenance to training the dogs to fundraising. We’ve been doing that for 15 years. For 18, I’ve been heavily involved with the City’s anti-graffiti program. That’s because I am a huge believer in community involvement, keeping Burnaby safe and beautiful. As a local small business owner myself, I understand the needs of our economy and our communities. On council, I will devote all my energies to doing the best possible job for all of our citizens.
