Growing up on a fruit & vegetable farm in the Niagara Peninsula, I was raised to appreciate the beauty of the land, and value the Earth that we live on. I moved away to university in 1982, but that upbringing remains at the heart of my being. Having lived in my current home in London since 1997, I also have an urban perspective on living in this complex world of constant change.
I worked full-time for 33 years in Information Technology, learning to integrate technology with business and society. This has deepened my resolve that technology, while a key part of our world today, is not the solution to all our problems.
I believe we need to work together as a society to make life better for all, addressing issues such as housing and health care, and building a future of optimism for younger generations.
