Simon Luisi is a self-employed courier and has been a Torontonian for over thirty years.
Simon is an activist with a number of organizations working to protect wild spaces and animals. For many years, Simon has been a member of the Toronto Vegetarian Association and has been vegan since 2005.
Simon has worked with the Peaceful Parks Coalition to protect provincial and national parks and has helped with demonstrations against the fur fashion industry and petitions to stop cormorant culls and other campaigns.
Simon is also a member of Fair Vote Canada, the multi-partisan citizens’ campaign for voting system reform.
His activism has resulted in several published letters regarding animal and environmental issues.
Simon’s knowledge about parliamentary procedure is from his position as Toastmaster International Program President of a Toastmaster Club, which he held for two years.
Simon is a graduate of General Sciences and an engineering student at École La Polytechnique, in Montreal and speaks both of Canada’s official languages.
