Hayden grew up in St. Catharines, and was raised by his hard working single mother with the help of his grandmother and great-grandmother. Like so many Hamiltonians today, they lived in city housing, relied on food banks, and utilized community organizations like Community Care and United Way for basic needs like winter coats, clothes, and other supports. Hayden understands the struggles of his neighbours more than anybody running in this election.

Hayden is a proud graduate of Niagara College. Throughout his education, Hayden demonstrated a commitment to community service and leadership, particularly in political strategy and community initiatives. His involvement includes roles with organizations such as: Junior Chamber International, Community Care, United Way, Pride Niagara, Ontario PC Youth Association, and NRMFA.

After completing his education, Hayden worked for the Premier of Ontario and the Ontario PC Party in various roles, including Tour & Advance, Member Relations, and Political Operations. Following this, he contributed to the success of the 2022 Niagara Canada Summer Games, surpassing revenue targets by $2 million, with an overall economic impact of over $350 million.

Subsequently, Hayden transitioned to the Pathstone Mental Health Foundation, where he developed initiatives such as “Mind Over Matter” and secured crucial funding to support mental health services for youth. Hayden returned to sports and worked as the Manager of Corporate Partnerships for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC, where he helped bring in several net new corporate sponsors to the organization.

A passionate coach and mentor, Hayden has spent over a decade developing young athletes. Starting as the youngest Head Coach in the Niagara Regional Minor Football Association history at just 18, Hayden’s coaching journey includes multiple leadership roles across various sports teams including the Hamilton Hurricanes. From football to boxing, Hayden is dedicated to fostering the next generation’s growth both on and off the field.
