Ryan Slaney is an expert in national and cyber security, bringing over two decades of professional experience to his role as the People's Party of Canada (PPC) candidate for the Bedford-Sackville-Preston riding. With a career spanning private and public sectors, Ryan has demonstrated a consistent commitment to safeguarding Canadian interests and advancing cybersecurity capabilities.

Ryan has previously held key positions in national security, including as a Senior Cyber Intelligence Officer with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). During his tenure at CSIS, Ryan led investigations into state-sponsored cyber threats, briefed senior government officials on issues of national and international importance, and led delegations at international conferences. His experience at CSIS provided him with a profound understanding of geopolitical dynamics, international affairs, and the inner workings of the Canadian government.

Ryan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Saint Mary’s University, where he gained an in-depth understanding of macro and microeconomic principles, global trade systems, and the factors influencing domestic and international markets. This education complements his technical expertise, equipping him with a holistic perspective on economic and trade policies and their impact on national prosperity.

Ryan resides in Bedford, Nova Scotia, with his wife and their three children. Dedicated to his community, he volunteers as an assistant coach and safety advisor with his local hockey association, fostering a safe and supportive environment for young athletes.
