Jenna is a young Mi’kmaw woman from Millbrook First Nation. Growing up in Middle Sackville, she has dedicated her life to fighting for better public services for working families, meaningful reconciliation, protecting our environment, and better health services. Jenna has fought to improve support for young First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people across Canada serving as the Youth Executive for the Board of the National Association of Friendship Centres and she has worked with many Residential School survivors, Indian Day School survivors, 60’s scoop survivors and their families to address Intergenerational trauma and begin their healing journeys. Anthony Edmonds is an aerospace engineer with a background in community service and political activism. His engineering career has ranged from local biotech start-ups to large government projects, including support for the CH149 Cormorant search and rescue helicopter. Anthony was raised in Lawrencetown and completed his engineering degree at Dalhousie University. He lives with his wife, Jillian, at their home in Wellington where they are always close to family. With deep roots in the riding of Sackville—Preston—Chezzetcook, Anthony works tirelessly to ensure that it thrives. He believes that strong communities are built by the people who live and work in them. As such, he has worked to support arts activities in local public schools, as well as mental health and addictions resources.
