Biography

from their website

Kyle Stevenson is a Langley-raised father and former journeyman electrician who lives in Walnut Grove with his wife and their two young daughters.

He started in the trades in 2006 and worked across British Columbia on large industrial projects in natural gas, mining, and solar. Most recently he was at Tesla Energy, working on advanced technologies that power the Supercharger network and grid-scale battery storage across Canada. He would bring that field experience to policy decisions on BC Hydro, working toward lower base rates and greater energy independence. After that career he earned his commercial pilot licence and is now working toward his flight instructor rating. The path from the tools to the cockpit has kept him close to the people who build, staff, and keep this region running: tradespeople, small operators, and working families trying to get ahead.

As a parent of a five-year-old and a newborn, and as the husband of a nurse practitioner, Kyle sees the pressure on Langley families up close. Housing has moved out of reach for too many people who grew up here. Schools and health care are struggling to keep up with Willoughby and Walnut Grove’s growth. Residents also want neighbourhoods that stay safe, and he wants police to have the tools they need to keep hard drugs and repeat offenders out of the community.

Kyle joined CentreBC for the chance to work with Elenore Sturko and Andrew Weaver, a team that puts evidence and people ahead of political rhetoric. He is proud to stand with a party that brings together people and ideas from across the political spectrum. Langley-Walnut Grove deserves a practical voice for strong public services and a government that takes fiscal responsibility seriously and treats every tax dollar with respect. His goal is simple: make sure the people who call Langley-Walnut Grove home are heard in Victoria, and that the decisions made there benefit them.
