I am a retired medical transcriptionist and former transit operator who has volunteered extensively during most of my life for various organizations in a variety of roles.
I live in Wilmot Valley and would work hard to stand up for the people of Malpeque in parliament.
In my career as a medical transcriptionist, I had the opportunity to work in Saudi Arabia for nearly 4 years beginning in 1995. In this part of the world, I had the opportunity to travel to many countries and experience diverse cultures.
Working in Saudi Arabia was an experience that shaped my life. I worked alongside a number of different nationalities, broadening my life experiences all while appreciating the significance of community.
As a transit operator, I was a pioneer in that I was the first female bus driver in the City of St. Catharines, Ontario.
I am a principled individual who is independent-thinking and rarely follows the crowd. I am not afraid to stand up for what I feel is right or confront what I feel is wrong, while demonstrating dignity, respect and kindness.
