Biography
I’ve always tried to live by hard work and keep moving forward. Over the years, I’ve worked in B.C.’s public transportation system, whether working out on the water, behind the wheel of a commercial rig, or stepping up when an emergency called for it. I’ve always been willing to learn and take on new challenges. I’ve also had my fair share of struggles and setbacks, and those tough times taught me that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. You can’t change the past, but you can take responsibility for where you are today and choose what you do next. Life has taught me to help people when I can, stay curious, and never let a bad chapter define the rest of your story.
Reason for running
I’m not running to represent a party, a political machine, or special interests. I’m running to represent my community. As an independent, I believe I can look at each issue on its merits — supporting good ideas wherever they come from and opposing policies when I believe they are not good for the people of Langford-Highlands or British Columbia.
My approach is simple: put people first, trim unnecessary costs and bureaucracy, make government more transparent, work across government instead of in silos, and focus on solutions that actually work in the real world.
I believe taxpayers deserve reliable public services. Frontline workers deserve to be heard, essential services deserve to be properly resourced, and government decisions should be measured by results rather than promises.
I’m also committed to listening. I believe some of the most important issues our community is facing cannot be solved by politicians sitting in an office and deciding what everyone else needs. I want residents to tell me what is working, what isn't, and what practical solutions they believe should be brought to the Legislature.
My goal is to remain accountable to the community rather than to donors or a political party.
I’m running independently by principle, but I intend to work cooperatively with anyone — regardless of party — when doing so can produce better results for our community.
