My policies are driven by a simple goal: making Kootenay–Monashee a place where people can build a good life. Watching my children leave and seeing the toll of addiction in our communities has strengthened my determination to create opportunity and restore safety.
I want to support established industries and encourage new investment that creates lasting local jobs. That includes exploring Trail’s potential as a centre for recycling and resource recovery—turning discarded materials into economic opportunities while caring for our environment. I would work with local businesses, industry, and community leaders to identify practical opportunities and the barriers holding them back.
I support lower taxes, simpler approval processes, and responsible public spending. Government should make it easier to start a business, build a home, and invest in our region, while maintaining safeguards that serve a clear purpose.
Our communities also need reliable healthcare and an effective response to addiction. I would advocate for more resources reaching frontline care, accessible treatment and recovery, and stronger action against repeat violent offenders. Families deserve safe neighbourhoods, and people struggling with addiction deserve a meaningful path forward.
As your MLA, I would bring these priorities to Victoria, listen to the people affected by decisions, and hold government accountable for measurable results. Success means more opportunities to stay here, services people can depend on, and renewed confidence in our region’s future.

Reason for running
My wife and I built our life and raised our family here in the Kootenays. Watching our children leave has made the question of our region’s future deeply personal. I want the next generation to see a future here—a place where they can find meaningful work, afford a home, and build a life close to family.
I’m also deeply concerned by the addiction and overdose crisis in our communities. Behind every life lost is a person, a family, and people who loved them. I believe drug policies have failed to deliver the safety, treatment, and recovery support our communities need. We need to change course, with accessible treatment, a clear path to recovery, and safer neighbourhoods for everyone.
I’m running because I care about what happens to this place and the people in it. I want to bring the concerns we discuss around our kitchen tables to Victoria and work toward a community where our children want to stay—or come home.
