Linda Munro is a community-driven leader and a trusted voice in North Vancouver.

With more than two decades of experience in communications, public affairs, and community engagement, she has built her career on strengthening relationships, solving complex challenges, and ensuring people feel heard.

First elected as a School Trustee in 2021—and topping the polls in both of her campaigns—Linda has worked tirelessly to improve access to quality public education. As a trustee, she acts as liaison to facilitate communication between community members and the school district. As Board Chair from 2023 to 2025, she helped guide district policy, supported families and educators, delivered leadership for trustees, and championed initiatives that put students at the centre of decision-making.

Linda’s professional background includes senior public affairs roles at Capilano University, where she led external communications, government relations, and issues management. She has also represented major organizations locally and internationally, including Doctors of BC, World Vision in the Asia Pacific region, and global PR agencies in Vancouver and London.

A long-time volunteer and community builder, Linda has served in leadership roles with local schools, libraries, youth organizations, and community service groups. She currently volunteers with Family Services of the North Shore and the Strachan Hartley Legacy Foundation.

Linda, her husband Scott, and their two teenagers call Lynn Valley home.

She holds a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from Western University, Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Studies and Geography from Queen’s University, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Simon Fraser University. She brings a strong commitment to public service, and experience, integrity, and a collaborative approach to every role she takes on—and she is dedicated to representing and strengthening the community she calls home.
