I am a proud 27-year Coquitlam resident, community leader, and recipient of the 2024 King Charles III Coronation Medal. I am dedicated to strengthening our school ecosystem and supporting students, teachers, educational assistants, and support staff.
My 28 years at TELUS provided deep corporate insight and extensive labour knowledge as a United Steelworkers Union member. As Founder and President of the Jr. Black Achievement Awards Society and Director for Hogan’s Alley Society, I bring proven governance, fiscal accountability, and grassroots advocacy.
My Campaign Pillars:
- Infrastructure & Forward Planning: Children deserve bright, modern, and safe learning spaces. I will advocate for proactive planning to reduce overcrowding, minimize portable reliance, and expand school capacity alongside municipal growth.
- Complexity & Classroom Support: Every child’s journey is unique. I will push for funding reforms to secure consistent special education resources, mental health supports, and language programs, while supporting the recruitment and retention of our valued teachers and support staff.
- Community Care & Accountability: Schools must be safe, inclusive spaces where everyone is welcome and can thrive. I am committed to uniting community partners and local organizations around this vision, prioritizing well-being, transparent governance, and equity.
My endorsements include Port Coquitlam Mayor Brad West, the New Westminster & District Labour Council, and USW Local 1944. With your support, I will be a strong voice for our students and families in SD43. Together, we can build a proactive and compassionate school district.
I would be honoured to earn your vote.
