A community works best when everyone in it feels safe and secure. That means firefighters, police and bylaw officers resourced for the Township we've become, traffic safety that protects pedestrians, and a Council that spends responsibly and decides in the open.
Langley Strong's plan has one goal: restoring respect in the Township of Langley. Respect for your tax dollars. Respect for your neighbourhood. Respect for all generations and all voices, even the ones with a different opinion. Respect for democracy and accountability. That means fixing the books first (a forensic audit, then a public payback plan for B.C.'s biggest municipal debt), holding tax increases to the lowest level the books allow, building only what we can pay for with the price tag public before the vote, treating every community as an equal partner, and governing in the open: real consultation before major decisions, real answers at the Council table, and real accountability to the people we serve. Biography
I'm a first-term Township of Langley Councillor, a longtime Walnut Grove resident, a retired Vancouver Police Department officer, a Rotarian, and a dedicated community volunteer.
I fell in love with Langley while studying here and put down roots in Walnut Grove in 1994. This is where I raised two children as a single parent, and where this community showed up for us through the hard times and the good ones. They say it takes a village; ours went above and beyond. Serving on Council is one of the ways I get to give some of that back.
29 years in frontline public service. I served nine years with the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction and 20 years as a sworn police officer with the Vancouver Police Department. My work focused on neighbourhood policing, crime prevention, homelessness, housing models, and community safety.
A strong voice at the council table. You honoured me in 2022 by electing me as the Township's top-polling Councillor. Since then I've been a strong voice for public safety, fiscal accountability, transparency, and responsive local government. I helped advance major public safety reforms, including hiring more RCMP and bylaw officers, expanding the Langley Township Fire Department, and fighting alongside the supporters and volunteers of the Langley Animal Protection Society to ensure LAPS could continue their excellent work in our community.
Service rooted in community. I serve as secretary on the Langley Sunrise Rotary executive and chair the SASSY Awards committee, supporting youth bursaries. I also help deliver Starfish Backpack food packs to schools in North Langley.
Reason for running
I'm running again for Council with the Langley Strong team because Langley needs steady leadership focused on people, not politics. Residents deserve safer communities, responsible spending, open decision-making, and a council that listens.
I'll bring my own individual voice to the council table, the way I always have, and I'll serve with integrity, common sense, and a deep commitment to the Township I call home.
I've spent a career protecting people, because a community works best when everyone in it feels safe and secure. As Councillor, I'll keep bringing steady judgment to Township Hall.
