To represent the public interest of both parents and the general public in the continuous improvement of education in Abbotsford School District.
To advance the cause of education in School District No. 34 by assisting the Board of Education, District Administration and all schools in promoting public interest in the educational system by providing my superior strategic communications experienc and advice to the Board of Education.
To consider any proposals for changes in the Abbotsford Board of Education’s Policies that would assist in improving the operations of the school district and the outcomes of student learning by providing my expertise in policy making acquired from the Canadian Education Association’s Superintendents’ Course in policy making at the Banff School of Management.
To support the Board of Education in co-operating with the ADPAC, BCPSEA, Teamsters Union 31, the ADTA and BCTF and the BCSTA and other significant agencies, including the City of Abbotsford, in undertaking measures that would improve the quality of education in School District No. 34.
To respect the wishes of parents and school PACs as well as the public in bringing issues forward to the District Administration and the Board of Education as appropriate so that there is a greater understanding and bond between the School District and its shareholders that will benefit the outcome of students’ learning.
To act as a resource person to the Board, the District Administration, its employees and to the public as well as parents for a firmer understanding of the politics of education based on my 50-year-plus career that has included a wide variety of roles in education and politics and community involvement.
