Biography
I’m looking forward to applying the experience and skills I’ve obtained in my career as an educator as an elected School Trustee for MPSD. I possess strong leadership skills and can thrive working in a team environment.
My children attended and graduated from Mission schools. They received an excellent education from the dedicated staff of MPSD. My goal is to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn in an effective, supportive and safe school environment.
Reason for running
As we are Mission Public Schools, equity in schools needs to be ensured. All students need access to resources, programs of support and extracurricular activities. Classrooms need consistent and qualified staffing. Staff need to feel safe and supported. I have developed and maintained positive working relationships with the employee groups in MPSD. I understand the requirements of schools by the Ministry of Education and the BC School Act. As a parent of three children, I understand the concerns all parents have as their children progress through the school system.
