Bestselling author, award-winning filmmaker, host of the Skaana podcast & adjunct professor at the University of Victoria.

I'm a grateful Saanich resident looking forward to the opportunity to preserve and protect this unique community.

My favourite recent writing job was consulting on and writing the orca exhibit at the Royal BC Museum.

Reason for running

I've spent most of my life working on provincial, national and global issues. The pandemic made me realize how lucky I am to live in Saanich and that I wanted to shift my attention to working for our community.

I not only listen to people I enjoy listening to people.

Sharing information also matters to me and most of my work focus on explaining complex issues without getting lost in jargon and legalese. One of my goals as a councillor is to communicate clearly and effectively beyond the confines of council meetings and tweets.

I've decided to share my answers to surveys and questions on my website to be as transparent as possible so please visit if you'd like to do a deeper dive. Or ask me anything.
