A proud member of the Métis nation, Tyson is a Communist Party organiser and member of the YCL. Pursuing his Master’s in history at UVic, he will be defending his thesis in September on the global significance of the Soviet Union’s contribution to the history of decolonisation.
Reason for running

Tyson is running to fight for a socialist alternative to the unending crises of capitalism, and to be a voice not just for his constituents, but for the working class. He is a fierce proponent of Indigenous sovereignty and the rights of all nations to self-determination.
