Meet Markus Delves, a dedicated and accomplished leader running as the BC United candidate for Abbotsford South. Markus is more than just a chartered professional accountant; he is an active community volunteer and retired naval officer with a passion for building a brighter future for his community.

Committed to fostering positive change, Markus is focused on improving B.C.’s crumbling healthcare system. By enhancing access to primary care, alleviating congestion at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, and addressing the unmet needs in mental health and addiction support services, Markus is determined to fix it for families in Abbotsford South.

Markus brings a wide range of experiences to the BC United team. Currently, he works at his family’s business building much needed homes for the region. His leadership also extends into healthcare, having served as a board member on the Fraser Health Authority and in the Royal Canadian Navy reserves, where he retired with the rank of Lieutenant. Markus is a proud SFU graduate, where he later returned to teach business to the next generation.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Markus is an active community volunteer, currently serving on the boards of the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and the Fraser Valley Indo-Canadian Business Association. His past role as the Treasurer of the Abbotsford Hospice Society underscores his commitment to making a positive impact at the grassroots level.

Markus firmly believes in the vision and capabilities of the BC United team, led by Kevin Falcon. With a focus on addressing the affordability crisis, improving healthcare, and building a stronger economy, Markus is ready to champion the interests of Abbotsford South and build a brighter future for all residents.
