They may still in the future!

Biography

I am a family man who has enjoyed calling Grande Prairie home for the past 17 years. I am dedicated to giving a voice to those who do not often feel they are heard and would be humbled at the opportunity to do this for our great city.

I moved to Grande Prairie in 2006 with my wife and daughter and we quickly fell in love with the city. I truly enjoy the outdoors and love that it’s a quick trip from having everything I need in the city to nothing but nature.

I have seen much change throughout the city in the last 17 years and feel pride in how it has grown and continues to offer new and interesting opportunities for families.

As a Journeyman, I understand the benefit of targeted educational opportunities to meet the needs of employers and I will fully support continuously adapting post-secondary education and training to assist people in starting or changing careers.

Grande Prairie offers great opportunities for people from all walks of life and I am proud to call this home.

I have enjoyed being part of sporting and community associations, as well as the chairperson for the local school parent council.

I believe in the future of our province and would be humbled to represent our community in Edmonton.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
I chose to step forward and run for this upcoming election for the simple reason that I feel the people of should have a voice that listens and takes input from them on the issues that are most important to our city.

I have always been a strong believer that if you do not like the way something is done, then you should stand up and be a part of the solution and try to make the change you wish to see. For me this started with just feeling unheard, I can not remember the last time I was reached out to for input on important issues by anyone in our provincial government. This is the foundation of our government but somewhere along the way it seems to have fallen away.

I believe every person should have the opportunity to be heard, if they choose not to give input that is their individual choice, but they should still have a choice. It is time to bring back the meaning of serving the people of your constituency and give that voice back to the people. This is something that I am committed to doing for the people of Grande Prairie.

There are a lot of issues that surround our great city that may often not be given the focus they deserve. This is an unfortunate side effect of a 2 party government that just becomes one party arguing against the other instead of a true democratic debate and where there is input from multiple sources.

I ask only one thing from the people of our city, to vote for the person you feel will best represent your individual interests, and not against the party you do not want to win. Lets bring true democracy back to our great province.
